These days are sweet.

Small Act
Can you relate to wanting to help others in a big and tangible way, but never being able to catch up to that vision and make it reality?
I feel this way on a regular basis, I have most of my life really. So I think it’s about time I lower the bar while not letting go of my dreams. It’s all too easy to dream and all too hard to lovingly serve now, in the countless little ways throughout the day.
Starting now I’ll try to act on small service over lofty dreams of helping humanity. Think of all the little choices to love and serve, if chosen over a lifetime, who knows the big, tangible, far-reaching ripple effect it’ll have on humanity?
Is there some small act of love or service you can do today?

Wesley’s 5th Birthday Bash
On Wesley’s Birthday we went to a kid’s Valentine’s pool party (it’s that warm here!) so we spent a chunk of the day doing that and then we hosted 2 of Wesley’s buddies for a sleepover. I figured that would be a nice way for him to feel like he’s having a “sleepover” without being away from home and it turned out great. Some other kiddos stopped by to play and for the cake and ice cream part. It was a long fun day!
We love you so much our sweet and smart Wesley Stone!

Happy Valentine’s Day
I know things have been awfully quiet around here, my camera is broken so that’s a big bummer for me. I’m hoping we’ll be able to get it fixed sometime, but we don’t know how bad the damage is.
Thank God for camera phones that sometimes work (when the memory card isn’t displaced!).
Our sweet and feisty Wesley turns 5 years old today! He keeps teaching me new things about motherhood and has helped me to be less judgmental of people who are parenting dynamic children.
Now I can just smile and understand, so that’s been a real gift to me that I want to continue to nurture. Families need understanding and supportive people around them and I want to be one of those people.
Wishing you love and happiness on this beautiful Valentine’s Day!
