The Green PolkaDot Box

I have something I’m very excited to share with you and it’s about food, mostly!

Where I live the health food and products are extra expensive because they have to import everything so it’s been challenging to choose healthier options while staying within my budget.

Recently I came across this online store for health food and various natural products called The Green PolkaDot Box and it’s been so much fun to check out all their products!

They give you the option to sign up for a Free 30-Day Trial Membership so you can place an order and see how you like it, which is what I did. Once I received my order and was happy with it my husband got me the membership as a Mother’s Day gift.

Now being that we’re currently living in Puerto Rico the shipping rate is much higher than what the company offers to mainland United States, but at least I can order products that are hard to come by or are a lot more expensive here.

Have a look and tell me what you think!

P.S. If you choose to purchase the Rewards Membership you can earn “Rebates & Reward Points” if the people you refer shop; which is a great bonus for me since I was going to join anyways. So if you click on any of the links here and end up ordering I’ll earn some discount/reward points, no pressure or anything. Just see if the convenience of online health food/product shopping is something you’d be interested in. I appreciate that I can thoroughly look over products from my home while my kids are occupied.

Homemade Deodorant

I got this natural deodorant recipe from the helpful book Organized Simplicity by Tsh from Simple Mom and have been making it since last year. I’ve told some friends about it so I thought I should go ahead and give you the recipe to try out for yourselves if you’re interested.

I add lemon essential oil to mine and really like the combination of the coconut oil and lemon together. Just pick whatever essential oil you like! A batch lasts a long time.

Recipe:

1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup cornstarch
4 to 6 tbsp. coconut oil
Essential oil (only if you want it to have a fragrance)
And then any little jar or container you like, some people use an old deodorant one

And check out the book for lots of other great tips and more recipes.

Have a great week!
