Yogurt & Chia Seeds

chia seeds & berry yogurt.jpg

This is my new favorite meal/treat:

plain yogurt (it’s fairly easy to make your own)
2 tbsp of chia seeds
frozen or fresh berries (I buy frozen over here)
add ground flaxseed if you like
sprinkle with raisins or cocoa nibs
Wait about 10 minutes for the chia seeds to soften

As you can see the recipe is very flexible, you can pretty much add whatever you like to it; nuts, wheat germ, any fruit, etc. I’ve been eating this for breakfast or lunch.

Enjoy & let me know how you like it!

It is sorta like tapioca I guess. Preston loves it and the other boys will eat it if it’s mixed with berries. I think it goes really well with yogurt, but you can mix it with any liquid – hot or cold. It doesn’t have much taste on its own so if you mix it with water it doesn’t taste good (at all!). It just depends on what you mix it with.
